Ron Paul Weekly (Vol. 1)

Tue Jun 12, 2007 at 08:02:38 PM PDT

I would like to start with an concluding paragraph from an artical I read just to get everyone warmed up to what needs to happen in this country.

Ron Paul has the integrity to stand up and say "enough." Enough aggressive and costly wars, enough government bloat, enough corruption from within, enough gouging of America's middle class. If you want your family members home from war, or if you want our money spent on rebuilding our infrastructure, or even if you just want to see an end to the endless nonsense that spews forth from IRS headquarters, give Ron Paul a nod. He may not be a member of your political party, but he loves and respects the Constitution the way any real American should. That's got to be worth something.

The Simon: Taking Ron Paul Seriously

I understand that as Democrats, you where able to throw a wrench in the mechanism of Dictatorship that we as a country are headed into.  Understand this Ron Paul, even if he is a Republican is our best hope in this country.

Trade Protectionism, Protecting America?

Fri Jan 19, 2007 at 08:35:55 PM PDT

I have a homework assignment for my business class and there it is:

Read the three items c,e and f found in question 4, page 96 of the textbook.

C. Encourage Americans to Buy U.S made products because doing so is patriotic.
E.  Protect American workers and wages
F.  Help us maintain a favorable balance of trade.

Identify
In the questions, Windy appears to be a strong proponent of tariffs and trade protection measures. What are the counterarguments to his major points? Substantiate your answer with cited information from the text or other credible sources.

I decided in the process of writing this paper that I would post it as a meaningful diary to get input and instant feedback for everyone. So it begains...on the flip

Framing the debate: Bipartisanship is a Trap!

Fri Nov 10, 2006 at 07:51:03 AM PDT

Does anyone seem a little guarded that we enjoyed a much earned victory without any of the issue of 2000 and 2004?

Something is not right hear!

The big media is blasting Bipartisanship, and with the resignation of Rummy; demonstrates the so called "Bipartisanship" the president has awoken to.  When behind the sceens, they are trying to confirm Bolton and get the wiretapping program legalized.

I think they are trying to set the pace for the 2008 election, blasting support of Bipartisanship and proving that the Dems are nothing more then partisan hack jobs.

Frayed Ends of Sanity

Thu Aug 24, 2006 at 12:14:27 PM PDT

As I began to question the ideas and the picture that the GOP and the Administration has pulled over my eyes.  I had this mental image of what was going on and thought that i would share it with the DK.

It was like some reality where I sat in a chair and in front of me was this painting, of America and what it stood for on principal.  After sitting for a while, comfortable, safe, and protected; I started to see cracks in the painting.  What I saw on the other side put me into a panic, Government sponsored terrorism, NSA spying of American citizens, searches of our communications, the Patriot Act, a dependent Judiciary, Corporate corruption of our representatives, RFID chips, National ID cards, The north American Union, the Politics of terror, National Health Care crisis, National Debt, Pollution, Global Warming, ect.  The list just keeps going!

Bush, Propaganda, Doublethink and Infowars

Wed Aug 16, 2006 at 08:23:25 AM PDT

From the novel by Orwell, George (1949). Nineteen Eighty-Four. Martin Secker & Warburg Ltd, London, pp 35, 176-177

"The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them. ... To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies--all this is indispensably necessary. Even in using the word doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. For by using the word one admits that one is tampering with reality; by a fresh act of doublethink one erases this knowledge; and so on indefinitely, with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth."

Does this remind you of a certain Political Party and President?

Justice: Losing Her Grip

Thu Jul 27, 2006 at 09:16:42 AM PDT

America is now struggling to keep its system of government alive and the rule of law absolute.  What better opportunity for the other world powers to start building their forces and influence at a time of great strife within this country.  What would you do if you where a power, who's ideas were defeated time and time again through out the generations of Americans and their hopes for freedom?  You wait because at some point, as proven throughout history, Governments decays.

Diebold: Counting Votes or Fixing Votes

Tue Jul 25, 2006 at 01:00:58 PM PDT

Have you ever heard the name "Diebold" before?  I have and what has been said that accompanies the name is anything but flattering.  Diebold is a company that makes electronic voting machines that help speed up election fraud and vote tampering ... I mean ... speed up the process of counting and verifying votes made in elections.  I have never trusted electronic voting machine to begin with and now never will.  For more detailed information please visit the referrenced sites.

GOP School Voucher Program

Thu Jul 20, 2006 at 09:07:58 AM PDT

My concern about my children's future; in particular, their education in God, human history and scientific discoveries could be solved with this new voucher system.  From what I've been reading that doesn't seem to be the case.  "Education Secretary Margaret Spellings said she hadn't read the report her own department had produced", according to Huffington Posts' Peter Laarman.  Doesn't that seem kind of funny, the GOP's "Values Agenda" doesn't include the values of doing your job and doing it right?  It just seems that the spin game is at it again.

Deception

Wed Jul 19, 2006 at 08:38:52 AM PDT

Is it me or are these recent debates in our congress and the aggressions by Israel seem to come at a time when a FEMA report from the Government Accountability Office high levels of wasteful spending, as noted in the diary of citizen92; as well as admission of the Attorney General that the President ordered the blocking of an internal investigation into the NSA's warrantless wiretapping program on American citizens. Maybe it's the other way around, which our government does all the time.

We the People

Fri Jul 14, 2006 at 10:35:36 AM PDT

There is something remarkable happening in America right now.   Americans are standing up to defend the Constitution against any who would mistreat it.  We the People Congress and We the People Foundation are doing just that, defending our great country from our own Government.
